Residents demand daily water supply

Since they were getting water once in a week, many residents were forced to purchase water by paying heavy cahrges. He also complained the drainages in the area were not cleaned properly. Many sewerages were stagnated due to encroachment upon them. He wanted the municipal authorities to clean the drainages and also evict the encroachments.

(NDRC), the report said the hike will mainly relate to a price rise for waste
water treatment. The money collected will be used to sponsor sewage treatment facilities and
the management of the water supply network. Statistics from the NDRC showed by the end of 2005, the average water price of
China’s 36 major large and medium-sized cities was 2. 26 US dollars)
